Climbing Rose Joseph's Coat

Climbing Rose Joseph's Coat

A reliable garden performer since it was introduced in the mid-1960s, Joseph's Coat bears blooms in a diverse palette of color over a long period. Clusters of bright red buds show a touch of coral, opening to reveal the golden yellow, double blooms inside, each edged in red. The flowers will eventually transform to a more solid red hue. The colorful 3-4" roses emit a light tea fragrance, and grow on both old and new wood. This classic, well-branched climbing rose flowers heavily at first, then reblooms throughout the summer season. Deadheading the blooms immediately after they fade increases the number of roses later in the season. A free-flowering variety.
